Northampton Woman Killed After Crashing Into Tree In Heidelberg Township

A Northampton County woman was killed after her vehicle crashed into a tree on Wednesday, Oct. 2, according to authorities.

Raquel M. Perez, 26, of Wilson Borough, was driving in the 5000 block of Route 309 in Heidelberg Township when her vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree at 3:38 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio said.

Perez was pronounced dead in the emergency department at Lehigh Valley Hospital at 4:34 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, according to Buglio's report. 

Buglio listed the cause of death as "multiple traumatic injuries due to a motor vehicle collision" and the manner of death as "accident."

The Pennsylvania State Police Bethlehem Station is investigating, according to the coroner's office.
